Privacy policy
Last updated: Nov. 2, 2026
This policy explains how Tenom Technologies ("Tenom," "we") collects, uses and protects personal information through tenom.ca, our marketing and our sales conversations. It does not cover information we handle on behalf of our clients as their IT provider. That work is governed by our client agreements.
We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the provincial privacy laws that apply to us.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form, book a meeting, use the chat on our site, email us or call us, we collect what you provide. That's usually your name, work email, phone number, company name, job title and what you want help with.
Information collected when you use our site. We use cookies and similar tools to see how people find and use tenom.ca. This includes the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example, from a search or an ad), your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. If you click one of our ads, the ad platform passes us a code that tells us which ad you clicked.
Chat conversations. Conversations in the chat on our site are recorded so we can follow up and improve our answers.
Information about your company. Our website tools may identify the company a visitor works for based on their IP address. We use this to understand which organizations are interested in our services.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
• answer your questions and follow up on your requests;
• book and run meetings and assessments you ask for;
• send you information you've asked for, and marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them;
• understand how our site and ads perform, so we can improve them;
• measure which ads lead to real conversations, by securely matching your contact details with our advertising platforms.
We do not sell personal information.
Marketing emails
We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them, or where Canada's anti-spam law otherwise allows it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop at any time by writing to hello@tenom.ca.
Cookies
When you first visit tenom.ca, a banner tells you we use cookies. You can decline cookies that aren't needed for the site to work. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only for the purposes above. They include:
• HubSpot, for our customer database, forms, chat, email and website analytics. Tenom's HubSpot data is stored in Canada.
• Google, for Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager.
• Apollo, for identifying companies that visit our site.
• Ahrefs, for website analytics.
• Framer, which hosts our website.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to ours.
When we match contact details with an advertising platform to measure our ads, the details are converted into a coded form (hashed) before they are sent.
We may also disclose personal information if the law requires it, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information from loss, theft and unauthorized access. Access is limited to people who need it to do their jobs.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that's wrong;
• delete your information, where the law allows;
• stop sending you marketing emails;
• withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contract limits.
To make a request, email hello@tenom.ca. We'll respond within 30 days.
